Former Bad Company lead vocalist Brian Howe took the stage after the PRCA Rockin' Rodeo at the Colorado State Fair and although it wasn't a sold out show, Howe delivered on all fronts. Musically, he treated fans to their favorite Bad Company songs with his killer rock vocals. Honestly the man has lost nothing vocally over the years and still sounds incredible!
Howe is most recognized for being the lead singer of Bad Company from 1986 to 1994 and as such his setlist reflected that. He started with his latest single (the first in many years) and name of his current tour...."Hot Tin Roof" and then continued on with a medley of fan favorites including
"Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy"
(Bad Company song);
"House of the Rising Sun",
"Ready for Love"
(Mott the Hoople cover),
"One Night"
(Bad Company song),
"Feel Like Makin' Love"
(Bad Company song),
"Holy Water"
(Bad Company song) and
"Movin' On" just to name a few.
In the spirit of rock and roll Howe blasted the audience with scorching songs with an
unrestrained energy. He continued his bouncing about the stage while smiling through almost every song.
It was a real joy to watch and to hear him sing was pure pleasure. The crowd had fun, the band had fun, and I'm pretty sure Brian Howe had fun!
