Right out of the chute Clay Walker kicked off the Colorado State Fair with a bang. It wasn't his undeniable likeability, it wasn't his old school country charm or even the confetti canons, it was simply some great music sung by a country singer with a great voice. It was the upbeat tempo's, the beautiful ballads and the always fun, ever popular crowd sing-a-longs.
Clay delivered throughout his entire set. His crowd pleasing hits included:
If I Could Make a Living,
When She's Good, She's Good,
Dreaming With My Eyes Open,
'Fore She Was Mama,
Rumor Has It,
She Won't Be Lonely Long,
This Woman and This Man,
Then What and more.
Clay's voice is honest and natural. His songs are meaningful with touching lyrics with memorable melodies. He's the real deal with a well crafted show, beautiful thoughtful songs, and talented, excellent musicianship by all band members. There's nothing bad you can say about a Clay Walker show. One can just savor in the straightforward pleasure of his performance.
Clay Walker is both infinitely listenable and deserving of more radio play. I can't wait for some new music to be released!
