A stable stage presence with a vocally unique sound made for one incredible show as country star Gary Allan hit the stage at the Colorado Event Center. His show had it all... searing vocals, amazing guitar riffs and massive roars from the crowd. Cruisng to all sides of the stage so he could sing to everyone in the audience endeared him to the crowd.
Tossing out guitar picks into the crowd helped to shake things up. The fans loved it!
Allan came out and sang, one song after another. Kicking things off with "Tough All Over","Nothing on but the Radio"," Man to Man", and""Guys Like Me", seemed to be mere warm ups. It was then his distinctive voice belted out such beautifuls hits like "Smoke Rings in the Dark"," Sand in My Soul" and with the crowd on their feet he sang my favorite Gary Allan song "It Ain't the Whiskey"! Gary told us how he almost didn't release his first song "Her Man' back in 1996 but was so glad he did. He sang his brand new song "Mess Me UP" which was a-maz-ing!( Buy It Here ) He then sang two songs for everyone who'se ever lost someone and kept the show moving with "Half of My Mistakes", "Songs About Rain",
a huge crowd favorite and massive singalong "Watching Airplanes", and so many more including "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)". There is no limit to the depth and ambition of his songs, some are fun, pure pleasure while others are emotional to the point where his vocals sport an earthy intimacy that makes his what he's singing reasonate with everyone.
Allan put together a flawless set with immaculate musicianship from both him and his band. His raw, sultry vocals showed off the twang in his voice and that little edge in his attitude made for a great show. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves country music. It truly is a great opportunity to hear him in concert. His music both old and NEW is still awesome to listen to!
