Huey Lewis & The News started out with a bang, belting out an oldie, but oh what a goodie..."Heart of Rock and Roll" All it took was that opening number to show us they are still at the
top of their game. Time may be marching right along, but Huey Lewis and The News delivered a strong performance with so many memorable, stick-in-your-head hits from the past it BECAME the 1980's all over again!
Huey was very interactive with the fans telling stories, promising to sing all the songs we wanted to hear and informing us this show was hie first time in Pueblo, Colorado. The crowd went crazy, on their feet cheering.
The concert was everything fans expected it to be. The setlist consisted of a series of songs that still stand up today,
They not only delivered the catchy anthems they're known for but we were treated to a few acapella songs, some amazing solo perormances and well as the first new song in years, "While We're Young" all delivered beautifully.
They also performed Heart of Rock and Roll, This Is It, I Wanna New Drug, Doing It All For My Baby, Jacob's Ladder, crowd favorite Hip To Be Square, Lookin' for a Love, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um and The Power of Love to name a few.
Huey Lewis and The News are pop stars and a genuine shit-kicking rock & roll band.
Their show is like a jam session that turns into a concert. I LOVED IT. Nothing but fun the whole night. Definitely a show worth going to.
