Spotlight on...
Lou Gramm Still a "Dirty White boy".
By: Kelly B.
Lou Gramm is best known as the lead vocalist for the 80's superband Foreigner. Throughout his career, Gramm was the vocalist for many top-40 hits including "Cold as Ice", "Double Vision", "Jukebox Hero" "Waiting for a Girl Like You", "I Want to Know What Love Is" and "Midnight Blue" to name a few. Lou and his brother Ben formed Lou's current band... The Lou Gramm Band -aka- "LGB".
Making up The Lou Gramm Band, in addition to Lou, are brothers Richard Grammatico on bass and guitar and Ben Grammatico on drums, guitarist Don Mancuso, and keyboardist Andy Knoll.
I recently saw LGB at the Divots Summer Concert Series held in Norfolk, NE. I have to say I was treated to thrills, chills and at times massive audience sing–a-longs. It made for a fun evening. Gramm was in perfect sync with the crowd the entire time.
Gramm delivered a set of catchy tunes and everyone was kickin' back and singing along to many of the hits we all recognized. LGB added in some new music to the set list making it a perfect evening.
The set list included:
Double Vision
Ready or Not
Dirty White Boy
Just Between You and Me
Cold as Ice
Waiting for a Girl Like You
Blue Morning
Blue Day
That Was Yesterday
Feels Like the First Time
Head Games
Midnight Blue
Jukebox Hero
Long, Long Way from Home
I Want to Know What Love Is
Hot Blooded
NEW MUSIC
So Great
Baptized By Fire
Made To Be Broken
The show's highlight for me was Midnight Blue. It had everything... voice, energy, style and Lou's charismatic personality made it one helluva performance. Rock on Lou Gramm Band!
