Kicking off with “Song for Another Time”, Old Dominion opened their set with guns blazing. It was an instant party. The best thing was the crowd pleasing songs just kept coming! I liked the way the band not only interacted with the crowd but with themselves as well. They were loud, boisterous, fun and put smiles on everyone's face.
Old Dominion consists of lead singer Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers and each and every one of them are super talented and fun to watch on stage.
The Setlist included:
"Song for Another Time', 'Wrong Turns", "Beer Can in a Truck Bed" and "Be With Me". At one point in the show they switched it up and put some stools together and did an acoustic version of "Written in the Sand" which everyone loved. "Hotel Key", a modern, catchy and addictive stick in your head tune (definitely a crowd favorite) had the audience singing along. Other songs included in the setlist were "Still Writing Songs About You", "No Such Thing as a Broken Heart", "Save It For A rainy Day", a new song called" Make It Sweet", "Snapchat", "Crazy Beautiful Sexy' and more!
Overall Impression:
Matthew Ramsey carried the crowd with ease. His energy was contagious and his vocal range was impressive.
Ther band was spot on, the back-up harmonies were smooth and rich, their sound was perfect and the song selection was great. I loved the entire evening. Would I recommend an Old Dominion Show....Hell Yeah!
