Review - Trace Adkins
Cheyenne Frontier Days
By: Mell Rose
This year's entertainment at Cheyenne Frontier Days is better than ever with endless concerts and rodeos. Imagine if you will a cool July evening, just perfect for a concert. Tonight's schedule, long time country star, Trace Adkins, a man who is no stranger to entertaining the masses.
Adkins appears wearing a dark cowboy hat with the brim pulled low, in tight wrangler jeans. Although he is one rugged individual, at a whopping 6'6", he is still a gentle giant. He is steeped in traditional country and well-suited to the genre. Standing tall and straight at the center of the stage, Adkins instantly takes complete control of the audience.
His setlist included such hits as "Whup A Man's Ass", "(This Ain't) No Thinking Thing", "There's A Girl In Texas", "One Hot Mama", "You're Gonna Miss This" and "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk". But it didn't matter what song Trace was performing the music was amazing and the crowd totally into the concert. Everyone was having a great time!
Having never seen Trace in person before I was very impressed with his rich deep voice and his showmanship. I can easily see why he's sold over 10 million albums. He is a talented performer who delivered a non-stop show from start to finish.
