FREE CONCERT at Yankton, SD
150th year celebration
By: Kelly B.
As if being 150 years old isn't in itself pretty damn amazing, the free concert by Big Head Todd and the Monsters certainly was!
Big Head Todd and the Monsters (BHTM) was born in Colorado back in the late 1980's. Gaining popularity with the locals, the band started touring and have been making albums ever since.
BHTM is definitely a group that values the relationship they have with their fans. They have no problem signing autographs after shows, or playing requests.
In an effort to create interest in their music, they have given away thousands of free CD's to their fans over the years, and today is no exception. Right now you can listen to their tunes and even download their "All You Need Is Love" CD totally free just by visiting their official website.
The group consist of band members:
Todd Park Mohr (Guitars, Vocals)
Rob Squires (Bass, Vocals)
Brian Nevin (Drums, Vocals)
Jeremy Lawton (Keyboards, Steel Guitars, Vocals)
Together they create the unique sound that is Big Head Todd and the Monsters. At the Yankton Festival I loved Broken Hearted Savior. I spoke to some hard core BHTM fans at the festival and everyone said their CD's are timeless and they still play them today. They are a genuine feel good band and the fans reflect that. For me, that is a true testimonial to a band as hard working as these guys are.
I would recommend this band to anyone who appreciates good music, great songwriting and fantastic entertainment. And for lucky Colorado fans they will be at Red Rocks this June 11th with special guest Guster. Buy Tickets Here
