The hotly anticipated Global Warming Tour was a standout - like a time machine where nothing ever changes. For a band thats been around as long as Aerosmith they are still a genuine shit-kicking rock & roll band who plays with awe-inspiring energy. Steven Tyler flaunted his unique style and undeniable swagger to a full house, while Joe Perry's performances proved that he still deserves guitar god status. From the first flicker of light you knew Aerosmith was in the house. They fill the arena and all is rock and roll.
Journey has been a fixture of the music scene for decades now and show no signs of slowing down. With a wealth of smash singles, the band turned in an amped-up show at Cheyenne Frontier Days that gave fans everything they came for. The tour which kicked off this July is a true blast from the past. With opening acts Loverboy and Pat Benatar & Neil Geraldo it was a rock and roll show to stir the senses.
Blake Shelton... Terrific, upbeat and ready to party. Blake is quite the entertainer. One can see why he won the 2012 Male Vocalist of the year. With unassuming charisma and charm he captures your attention and never lets it go. He got the crowd going right out of the gate with his boyish good looks, huge smile and his incredible energy. When telling the fans how he's travelled all over the world, yet he's never seen an incredible sea of cowboy hats like here in Cheyenne, Wyoming the crowd went wild. I was glad to know that I wasn't the only one who noticed the hats.
From that moment on the show just rocked!
Casey James... An enormous talent. A great singer and a wicked guitarist with mad skills. When he jams on that guitar it feels like an extension of his voice. With his easy-going swagger, his show has something for every country fan. No stranger to entertaining, this Season 9 American Idol alum placed third behind winner Lee DeWyze and runner up Crystal Bowersox and after touring with Sugarland, Casey debuted his first country album - Casey James - in March of this year.
You hear Kelly Clarkson once and your hooked. She came out of the gate strong and kept it up all night. With an entertaining stage presence she delivered a dazzling concert to a packed crowd. With her "rawk" edge, powerhouse vocals and God-given talent she created a potent cocktail that allows her to stand head and shoulders above a sea of pop singers. Lush and rich in musicality and melody you can't help but marval at what a good show she puts on.
When Lucas Hoge sings something moves inside of you. He involves you in the music with his effortless vocals and strong beautiful lyrics. His performance showcases his talent as a singer/songwriter leaving you wanting more. In short he just draws you in! Hoge has appeared on the Today Show and Inside Edition. He stars in Animal Planets TV show "Last Chance Highway" as himself. He also wrote and perfoms the shows theme song which incidentally is a bonus track on his "DIRT" CD!
Selena Gomez & The Scene!
As Selena rose above the stage under the glow of a vintage lighting scheme, the vigor of crowd burst into wild screams and thunderous applause - Selena Gomez & The Scene had arrived! Looking every bit the Pop Star she delivered a dazzling concert to a sold out crowd.
For someone so young she showed an incredible display of showmanship and talent.
Martina McBride !
She's unbelievable! She's gorgeous! She has an amazing voice, tons of energy, and carries the crowd with ease. She is the real deal!
Her energy at the Colorado State Fair was contagious and her voice range was exceptional. Together her band created the winning formula that made her easily shine, as she sizzled through the opener, "One Night."
Stoking an all-girl funky attitude she sang "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues" and you knew the show was on! The Colorado State Fair was heating up! Next up - "Wild Angels", then "My Baby Loves Me".
With an infusion of old and new she introduced her latest hit "I"m Gonna Love You Through It" - a song about cancer. As a spectator you can sense the presence of a personal conviction and connection between her vocals and her lyrics.
Kid - Mother Fucker - Rock !
He's ferocious, beautiful, brilliant, exciting, entertaining, talented, confident, compelling, funny, sexy, devilish & unstoppable.
In his trademark black hat, the ultimate American Badass has this irresistible energy. He is a showman who gives the audience exactly what they want. Kid Rock's performance Friday night in the Grandstands at the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming was nothing short of spectacular. The just under two hour set of the Kid's greatest hits in rock, country & rap music was so well blended together it pleased the entire sold-out show. I for one had a KILLER time.
Loverboy... Live, Loud and Loose!
Few things are more likely to whip a crowd into a frenzy than a Loverboy show and that's exactly what they did to a packed Hudson Gardens in Colorado.
They've got it all - charisma, energy, voice and stye! They sound exactly like themselves, cutting loose with
more energy and more fun than other bands. No pompous gestures or fancy come ons, just a fun celebration,
a party if you will as they blazed through their massive arsenal of hits. The timeless classics still sounded fresh, and frequent smiles revealed that they still have a lot of fun playing it. The band reaffirms for me that the music is still alive and well!
They've got it all - charisma, energy, voice and stye!
Black Stone Cherry... Who wants to be a "White trash Millionaire"
Black Stone Cherry are stars on the rise. They attack each song with a strength and vigor that rivals any band. The adrenaline they have is unbelievable. Every song is like a tidal wave of sound; everything is thrown at the listener, and like the wave you can see it and feel it coming. Black Stone Cherry are so visual and a real pleasure to watch. Guitarist Ben Wells and bassist Jon Lawhon raced around the stage as they played, getting the crowd all caught up in their energy.
Christina Perri... Lovestrong
Showcasing her voice Christina Perri has managed to captivate fans everywhere. From the moment "Jar of Hearts" was first heard on "So You Think You Can Dance" Christina Perri has been on the go. Within a week of that airing, her song was rising quickly into the top 40 and she was talking record deal. Her career was taking off in ways one can only dream of. While performing as the opening act for pop sensation James Blunt in Denver recently, she tells the story... "it was just one year ago I was a waitress in LA".
James Blunt... "Your Beautiful."
James first engaged the crowd as he joined the band on stage after making a surprise entrance from behind the audience. Everyone called his name and cheered him on as he made a mad dash to the stage. As he jumped the barricade to join his band mates he was handed a guitar. He immediately found his groove with "So Far Gone", a song off his latest LP "Some Kind Of Trouble". I remember thinking OMG, he hasn't even finished singing his first song and already Oh What a Show!
Hinder... The All American Tour
Adorned in a Steven Tyler-esque scarve, lead singer Austin Winkler went non-stop the entire set. His facial expressions were fun to watch. He attacked every song full-force, regardless of whether he was singing the bands hard rock anthems or one of their power ballads. With enough vocal power to make each song unique, distinct, and memorable, Winkler was right on! He never missed a beat.
The Envy... "Fingers Crossed."

Foghat... Still on a Slow Ride."
Foghat dominated the BBQ Festival in Pueblo, Co. They took fans on a "Slow Ride" they will not soon forget. It was classic blues - rock from beginning to end.
